Welcome to Law School!

Welcome to law school. We hope this guide will help you navigate your first year here at Tulane Law School. Please visit the reference desk if you need help or even just words of encouragement. We are happy to have you and wish you the best!

Note from the Library Director

Dear MJLEL Student:

Welcome to the MJLEL Program at Tulane University Law School. In addition to the academic support you will find at Tulane, you will also find outstanding legal research support as well.

From the Tulane Law Library webpage, you will see links for “Get Reference Help” that include various access methods, including in person, by telephone, e-mail, echat, and by mail.  Our reference librarians are typically available until 8:30 am until 7:00 pm during weekdays and 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm weekends during the regular academic semesters.

As this LibGuide indicates, Tulane Law Library offers a number of legal resources that can assist you in your studies as you complete your Master’s of Jurisprudence degree. I wish you the best of luck in your studies.

James E. Duggan
Director of the Law Library and Associate Professor of Law
Tulane University School of Law
